Boulder, Colo. – June 17, 2020 – Automox, the modern cloud-native endpoint and workload management platform provider, today announced that Dmitri Alperovitch, co-founder and former chief technology officer of CrowdStrike (NASDAQ: CRWD) has joined the Automox Board of Directors. Alperovitch brings unmatched insights and experience in technology innovation and business growth strategy to Automox as the company aims to disrupt the legacy endpoint and workload management market.

“Dmitri’s proven success through his decades of experience in the cybersecurity space will add a valuable perspective to our Board of Directors,” said Jay Prassl, CEO. “His background as a technology leader has helped him change the landscape of how endpoints are secured, and he has joined Automox’s board to change how endpoints are managed in this cloud-first, remote and hyper distributed environment. As an industry disruptor, he will be invaluable to Automox’s mission as we reinvent the stagnating endpoint management market with a modern, cloud-native next-gen automation platform.”

As the endpoint landscape and its underpinning technologies have evolved, many organizations are under pressure to effectively manage their endpoints and workloads at scale without the direct line-of-sight and overhead required for legacy vendor on-prem approaches. For decades customers have tried to work around these limitations with VPNs and redundant management infrastructure, but there’s a long overdue inflection point that has been exacerbated by the recent acceleration to distributed work. The needs of customers are simply not being met by legacy on-prem architecture. Automox was designed from the beginning to manage technologically diverse environments, handle the distributed workforce and automate policies through a zero-maintenance cloud-native architecture.

“Automox grabbed my attention early on as a disruptor uniquely positioned to dominate the transformation of endpoint and workload management,” said Alperovitch. “ This market is long overdue for an overhaul with the existing legacy solutions in the market being limited to their decades-old fundamentally on-prem architectures. The future of endpoint and workload management requires a modern cloud-native platform that can provide seamless always-on visibility and instantaneous control over on-prem endpoints and servers and cloud-based workloads.”

Dmitri Alperovitch is a Senior Fellow at Harvard Kennedy School’s Belfer Center’s Defending Digital Democracy Project, Senior Fellow at the Atlantic Council, and Fellow at George Mason University’s National Security Institute. He currently serves on the Advisory Boards for NATO’s Cooperative Cyber Defence Centre of Excellence (CCDCOE) and RSA Conference.
